First Security Stadium

In 1957, the board of trustees approved an athletic field for Harding’s campus. The board challenged alumni to raise $5,000 that they would match. The field was appropriately named Alumni Field and included a football field, track, baseball diamond, press box, and bleachers. Alumni Field became First Security Stadium in 2000 after a large donation from First Security Bank led to a renovation. In October 2014, thanks to donations from members of the 1959 football team and their families, a new scoreboard and video board were dedicated and put to immediate use.
