Ganus Student Center

The Ganus Student Center, as it was originally called, was built in 1951 as part of a campus building campaign to provide more resources for students. Named after then board president Clifton L. Ganus Sr., it originally housed the student center, post office, and a banquet hall. In 2022, the building was demolished and construction began on the Holland-Waller Center. Dedicated in 2023 to Harding’s Women of Faith, it hosts the Clifton L. Ganus Sr. Department of History and Political Science, the department of foreign languages and international studies, the ROTC program, and the Swaid Institute for International Education, which includes Harding’s international study abroad programs, international student services, the China and East Asia program, and the Walton International Scholarship Program.
