A tradition begun sometime in the 1980s, ring ceremonies celebrate newly engaged club sisters. A note goes out to club members giving the time and place of the ring ceremony.

The club sisters gather in a circle at the appropriate time. Anticipation builds as the club president places the engagement ring on a candle and lights the wick. The ring candle is then passed one time around the circle so all can examine the ring. On the second pass around the circle, the bride-to-be blows out the flame when the candle reaches her. Exuberant celebration ensues.

A secondary tradition, that of throwing the groom-to-be in the McInteer fountain, has unknown origins but plays an important role in the group celebrations.
